Leaders at Bristol Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) have congratulated University Hospitals Bristol (UHB) on their ‘outstanding’ Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating.
The latest rating makes UHB the only Trust in the South West to have an outstanding rating, and they become the first Trust in the country to go from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘outstanding’ in just two inspections.
Following the report in September 2014, the Trust took on board the recommendations and improved, not only in the required areas, but also in those that were already strong.
"Huge congratulations must go to everyone at UHB on achieving their ‘outstanding’ rating. We know how much work goes on every day at the Trust for patients and families and this external recognition is great for everyone, staff and patients alike. We are incredibly pleased to have an outstanding trust in our city that will continue to provide the best possible care for the local population."
- Alison Moon, Bristol CCG Transformation and Quality Director
