Welcome to our new website, which we hope you will find easy to use and provides you with all the information you need on the health services that we commission in Bristol.
The site has been re-designed, and the content and navigation improved in order to make it easier for you to find the information you’re looking for.
At the click of a mouse you can access information on Bristol CCG, NHS services, including GP practices, pharmacies, Walk-in Centres, Minor Injuries Units and local hospitals. You’ll also find information on the healthcare priorities for Bristol and how you can get involved.
The new website allows you to engage, interact with and share content through use of social media buttons, online forms and live twitter feeds. The site also uses Google Translate, which allows you to browse content in your language of choice.
We have also taken on board international guidance and best practice on web accessibility. We are committed to ensuring that the website is accessible to all users irrespective of device in use, technology or ability. This includes people with sight problems, hearing, mobility and cognitive impairments as well as users with older browsers or newer technologies such as smartphones and tablets. Checkpoints have been taken from the Website Accessibility Initiative (WAI) guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Over the coming months we plan to further enhance the site following customer reviews and the feedback we receive.
The website enables us to engage widely with patients, the general public and our partners.
"We hope the website provides useful information and an easy route to contact the CCG. Our aim is to focus on patients and the public and use their feedback to commission local health services of the highest quality."
- Jill Shepherd, Chief Officer, Bristol CCG
